The front is a different job. There is less hair hiding the work, the scalp is more visible, and the hair is often finer. That means the attachment, base material and placement have to be planned differently.
I am looking at what shows through
At the front, I am not only matching the length or color of the hair. I am looking at the scalp, root and shadow that show through a thin part or hairline.
If there is not enough hair for a bead
I do not force a beaded attachment into an area that does not have enough healthy support hair. Depending on the client, I may use a closure, lace, a PU section with tape, or another custom attachment in the frontal area.
The rest of the head may use something different
The hairline does not dictate the method for the entire head. Stronger hair farther back may be suitable for meshless attachment, while another area may need mesh for broader support. A combination can make more sense than forcing one method everywhere.
Frontal work needs careful maintenance
The front is one of the most visible and delicate areas of a system. If there is discomfort, lifting or irritation, I want to know about it early rather than waiting until the next scheduled visit.
