Mesh vs. Meshless: What’s Actually Different?

Mesh and meshless are not the same service with different names. They use different foundations and they are maintained differently.

Mesh integration

Mesh uses an open mesh foundation. Where the natural hair is strong enough, it can be pulled through the mesh and incorporated into the system. Mesh is useful when I need broader support or coverage than the natural hair alone can give me.

Meshless integration

Meshless does not use that same full mesh foundation. It relies more on the healthy support hair that is available and can be built with a closure, wefts or other added hair depending on the design.

The maintenance is different too

With mesh, adjustments are typically done as the beads grow away from the scalp, and a full realignment is done periodically so the system can be removed, new growth pulled through, and the scalp checked.

Meshless is different: it is completely redone at the maintenance appointment rather than receiving mesh-style adjustments and realignments.

I do not choose one method for the entire head automatically

One area may have enough strong hair for meshless while another area needs mesh. The method can change by zone. I am looking at the support hair, scalp, location of the loss, and the coverage the client actually needs.
